Criminal complaint against André Ventura, Pedro Pinto and Ricardo Reis exceeds 100 thousand signatures

The public petition that advances with a criminal complaint against André Ventura, deputy Pedro Pinto and Chega advisor Ricardo Reis, has already exceeded 100 thousand signatures.

At around 11:20 pm this Saturday, the platform indicators they already had 101,475 subscribers.

At issue are phrases that the promoters of the petition, which include Francisca Van Dunem and João Costa, respectively former Ministers of Justice and Education of the PS Government, consider to constitute four crimes: instigation to commit a crime, condoning the commission of a crime, incitement to collective disobedience and offense to the memory of a deceased person.

At issue are statements such as:

– “Maybe, if [os agentes] If they shot more to kill, the country would be in better order”, given by Pedro Pinto.

– “One less criminal… one less Bloc voter”, written by Ricardo Reis, Chega advisor, who However, he removed the comment from the social network.

– “We shouldn’t make this man a defendant, we should be grateful for the work this police officer did. We should decorate him (…)”. “Thank you, thank you. That was the word we should be giving to the police officer who shot another criminal in Cova da Moura, phrases uttered by André Ventura.

This Saturday, at the demonstration that brought together around 200 people in Lisbon, the leader of Chega said that those who have to go to jail “are those who are killing, those who are stealing, those who are destroying and not those who want to defend the police”.

“I saw and followed the complaints made against me. (…) What I hope is that the accused, the only ones, are not the ones who defended the police. I hope that those who put people at risk, what I hope is that they are charged. Don’t be the messenger who is arrested”, he reinforced.

Later, in front of the Assembly of the Republic, he said that it was necessary to do “the real revolution in Portugal”because “in the last 50 years only one side has been heard”.

Elsewhere in the city, the demonstration organized by the Vida Justa movement featured with a few thousand participants.
