Risto Mejide is absent this Tuesday, October 15, from his position as presenter on the Cuatro program ‘Everything is a Lie’.Marta Flich replaces him and many of the program’s followers have wondered why he was absent.
Normally, Risto usually disappears from ‘TEM’ because he is recording another programsince there are several projects in which the publicist is immersed. However, this time it is different, since the presenter is in Málaga.
Why isn’t Risto in ‘Everything is a Lie’?
The reason why Risto Mejide has been absent from his seat in ‘TEM’ because he was in the XI International Journalism Congress of the Manuel Alcántara Foundation in Malaga. In fact, he himself has published several photos on his Instagram profile showing where he was.
The title of the conference was ‘Journalism, other narratives’, with Risto as one of the key figures: “I like to think that, like me, the brand I represent has also evolved“, he noted in his speech.
Present at the congress were with Ristothe vice president of Culture, Education and Youth of the Malaga Provincial Council, Manuel López Mestanza; the rector of the UMA, Teodomiro López; the president of the Manuel Alcántara Foundation, Antonio Pedraza; and journalists Guillermo Busutil and Agustín Rivera, director and deputy director of the congress, respectively.
“Nowadays, I have the opportunity to show myself as I am in a daily program, where I react and give my opinion spontaneously. Clickbait has destroyed much of the credibility of journalism. It is bread for today and hunger for tomorrow,” he explained about the current journalistic landscape.
The last time Risto was absent from ‘Everything is a Lie’ was in the summer, when he was immersed in the recordings of ‘Got Talent’both in June and July, in addition to other loose days since returning to action in September.
