The multi-year agreement with the Iwata firm contemplates that the Prima Pramac will have the coming year with dos Yamaha YZR-M1 of manufactures.

It’s not for money
First of all, the boss has explained the reason why they are leaving Ducati to partner with Yamaha. “What I would like to make clear from the beginning is that it is not about money. In fact, in the short term, I will lose out, because I won’t get the same thing I have right now from sponsors. Obviously, I don’t think that in the short term we can obtain the same results to which we were accustomed,” he indicates.

“It is a seven-year contract. These two (2025 and 2026) and five with the new motorcycle. And we will not be a satellite team. That concept no longer exists.. Look at KTM. In 2025, they will have four official bikes, same sponsors, same colors. As Pit Beirer said, the first in the driver standings will be the leader. So Pramac will be an extra factory team, with exactly the same bike as Quartararo. In this sense, I did not understand Jorge Martín. What was he missing? He has won races, leads the championship and, last year, he lost it in the last test, in Valencia… The fact is that Yamaha has convinced me with his project. They are a glorious brand, which has won a lot, their last title was just three years ago with Quartararo. They are working a lot, even in Italy, with Marmorini and Max Bartolini. It won’t be immediate, but they will come back and win, because they always have” Campinoti added.

A detail that made Ducati feel very bad
