Anuel AA remembers his time in prison: “In prison, words go above money”

‘The Anthill’ has closed a week in which Pablo Motos has interviewed the versatile Leticia Sabaterthe journalist and meteorologist Roberto Brasero and the singer and songwriter Becky G with the visit this Thursday of the singer and composer Emmanuel Gazmey Santiagoartistically known as Annual AA.

After welcoming the last guest of the week, Pablo Motos began the interview by highlighting that Anuel AA gives gifts to the little ones and asked him about the occasion when he gave one of his necklaces to a girl. “I have already given away five or six necklaces,” the Puerto Rican artist admitted. “On tours, I always carry a portion of small chains, with little details, in my suitcase, and when I return home from the tour it is empty,” he highlighted. “The children always ask me for something: the cap, the glasses, the chain… I do it more for the detail, because sometimes they ask me for something that I don’t have at that moment and I give them a chain,” he added.

Anuel AA is in Spain immersed in his ‘Europe Tour’ tour. “I have already done two concerts and it has been impressive. I have always said everywhere that my favorite place to sing is Spain. I love to sing in all parts of the world, obviously, of course, but Spain is something special,” stated the interviewee, whose boss is his father. “Between the two of us we make the decisions and now I also have one of my brothers working with me. I feel different, I feel special, because before I went from my house to work and now I go to work and I am with my father and one of my brothers. Everything feels more special,” said the singer and composer, who has acknowledged that his father is watching over him. “It is important that the people who love you, who are around you, if they see you doing something crazy, they stop you and tell you not to go there because you are going to crash.”

After premiering his new single ‘Razones’ in ‘El Hormiguero’, in which Anuel AA has had the collaboration of Ozuna, with whom he made many of his first songs and with whom he has a very special relationship. “The time I was in prison, in 2016, Ozuna became the number 1 Latin artist and wherever Ozuna went, Ozuna always mentioned me, asked for my freedom, sang my songs and helped keep my music alive while I was in prison. Always He is going to be my brother and that is something for which I will always be grateful,” said the artist, born on November 26, 1992 in the municipality of Carolina. “My relationship with Ozuna goes beyond music,” he remarked.
