With echoes of covid, and music by Terry Riley, Sasha Waltz creates an alphabetic dance

AND a Sasha Waltz different from the one we have known for decades in Portugal, who returns with the choreography “In C”, which quotes the title of Terry Riley’s 1964 musical composition. The operatic scale, the theatricality of the dance and the Impactful images from works such as “Körper”, “Dido and Aeneas” or “Kreatur” presented here give way to a dance that celebrates sharing, stripped down, composed on a vocabulary that anyone can learn and dance.
