Milos Bikovic says a “targeted campaign” disadvantaged him of a task within the TV order
Serbian-born actor Milos Bikovic has introduced that he has left the forged of HBO’s award-winning order ‘The White Lotus’. The Ukrainian Overseas Ministry had demanded that Bikovic be got rid of because of his near ties with Russia.
The actor defined that he’s going to not be concerned within the order because of “a targeted campaign.”
“I was honored to be chosen to be a part of White Lotus, a TV series that I hold in high regard and with colleagues whom I deeply respect. However, my participation is not possible due to reasons beyond the realm of art,” Bikovic wrote on Instagram, including that he “will not bow to any narrative” that seeks to compromise his integrity.

The verdict to solid Bikovic for the order was once introduced in January. In a while afterwards, the Ukrainian Overseas Ministry lashed out at HBO, announcing, “Is it all right for you to work with a person who supports genocide & violates international law?”
Responding to the Ukrainian backlash, the Serbian Overseas Ministry referred to as Bikovic “one of the most talented and most popular Serbian actors of his generation,” past pushing aside claims that he’s a “genocide supporter” as completely baseless.
The actor has participated in various Russian productions and is an outspoken promoter of Russian tradition. In 2018, he was once awarded the Pushkin Medal for his contributions to Russian artwork and tradition. 3 years then, President Vladimir Putin granted the actor Russian citizenship.
In his Instagram put up, Bikovic mentioned the “targeted campaign” towards him resulted in “the triumph of absurdity and the defeat of art.” He described HBO’s choice as “a disturbing precedent shadowing the essence of artistic freedom.” The 36-year-old actor famous that he grew up in a war-torn nation and needed to conceal in shelters all through NATO’s bombardment of former Yugoslavia in 1999.
