“Unacceptable behavior” and “farce”: Inquiry committee suspends hearing of the twins’ family lawyer

The hearing for the lawyer for the Portuguese-Brazilian twins’ family was this Friday suspended after Wilson Bicalho invoked professional secrecy to refuse to answer any questions. The lawyer stated that he made a application to the Bar Association to be able to talk about the case at the hearing, but claims that it was denied.

Wilson Bicalho thus refused to answer all the questions asked by deputy André Ventura until the Chega leader’s intervention was interrupted by the coordinator of the PSD parliamentary group. António Rodrigues classified what was happening as a “farce†, asking for the work to be postponed until the situation was investigated by the Bar Association. The request was supported by other parliamentary groups.
