Trump denounces Iran’s threats to his life

Former US President Donald Trump denounced, this Tuesday, that Iran represents a “great threat” to his life.

“Iran represents a great threat to my life. The entire US army is watching and waiting”, wrote the Republican candidate for the November presidential election, on his social network Truth Social.

“Iran has already taken measures that have not worked, but it will try again. (…) I am surrounded by more men, weapons and weapons than I have ever seen,” he added.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Donald Trump’s campaign team said it had been informed by the US secret services of “real and concrete threats” of assassination against the Republican candidate made by Iran.

“Trump was informed by the Office of the Director of Intelligence of real and concrete threats from Iran to assassinate him,” said spokesman Steven Cheung.

The person responsible for the campaign indicated, citing the US secret services, that these “continuous and coordinated attacks” have intensified “over the last few months”.

In the summer, Iran had rejected similar accusations, which it described “as malicious”.

In mid-August, the United States pointed the finger at Iran in several computer hacking attempts against the presidential campaigns of Donald Trump and the US vice-president and Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, including one released on August 10 by the team of the republican.

According to US authorities, Iranian hackers sent the campaign team of US President Joe Biden, who has since withdrawn from the race for the White House, “stolen documents” from the Republican billionaire’s team.

In mid-July, the Republican candidate was shot and injured in his right ear at a rally in Pennsylvania.

On September 15, a man was arrested after secret service agents saw him with a gun near the golf course where Donald Trump played. On Tuesday, he was charged with attempted murder.
