Three people shot dead on a street in Lisbon, suspects are on the run and PJ is already investigating

Three people died this Wednesday following a shooting that took place in Lisbon, with the shooting suspects fleeing towards the Santa Apolónia station, a source from the Public Security Police (PSP) told the Lusa agency, after the “Correio da Manhã” advanced the news.

To Expresso, the Judiciary Police also confirms the triple homicide (of two men and a woman, contrary to the initial information that pointed to three male individuals) and that it is already investigating the case. The murders were committed inside the ‘Granda Pente’ barbershop.

According to “Correio da Manhã”, the victims are a barber, a taxi driver and the taxi driver’s wife (these two customers of the barber shop). The three were, according to “Diário de Notícias”of Portuguese nationality and were between 24 and 43 years old.

According to the same source heard by Lusa, at 1:25 pm the PSP received information that there would be shots fired on Rua Henrique Barrilaro Ruas and activated means to go to the scene.

“When we arrived, we saw three individuals shot without vital signs,” he said. Two of the victims were shot in the head, according to “Correio da Manhã”.

The source also said that “three suspects, possibly the perpetrators of the shooting, fled” towards Santa Apolónia station.

The PSP was unable to specify whether the victims had any relationship with each other or whether they were random shots. The Judiciary teams on site have already collected “several testimonies”.

Emergency services and police were called to the scene, he added.
