Theater & Dance: With the aroma of spices, Europe questions itself in the Sul Sueste exhibition
SWe were taken to the substage of the Narbonne Theater (France). Before we enter, you can already smell the aroma of spices. In the center, amidst the gloom of a forest of columns that support the weight of the stage above, is Hamdi Dridi, Tunisian choreographer and dancer based in Montpellier, facing a table where there are food, condiments, pans around a fire. and music. He cooks, dances and welcomes the public at the theater like someone at home. It is one of the moments of “Dans(e) House Trio”, a celebration of music, dance and cuisine, one of the pieces conceived in the context of the European project Stronger Peripheries, which this week presents many of the works created in the Sul Sueste exhibition, in eight Portuguese locations: Alcobaça, Lisbon, Moita, Montemor-o-Novo, Pombal, Santarém, Sobral de Monte Agraço and Torres Vedras.
