“The principles of April were formalized with the work of the architects”: “What is needed” is to exhibit 50 works, from SAAL to Manhattan in Cacilhas

“What contribution did architects have in the post-revolutionary period?” This is the question that Casa da Arquitectura, in Matosinhos, intends to answer by showing “What’s missing – 50 years of Portuguese architecture in democracy”an exhibition open to the public from this Saturday (October 26). Visitors will have the opportunity to (re)discover 50 projectsof 86 authorsthrough 407 drawings (109 originals), 39 models, 274 photographsfive videos and two installations.

“It’s much more than an exhibition”, comments Nuno Sampaio, executive director of Casa da Arquitectura, during a press presentation. “It is the first major collective exhibition on Portuguese architecture”emphasizes the person responsible.
