The most anticipated flights: Algarve and Madeira will have, for the first time, direct connections to the USA in 2025, already confirmed by United Airlines
It is a historic milestone for the Algarve, and also for Madeira – regions that will have direct air connections to the United States next year, for the first time. The routes are generating high expectations in relation to the flourishing North American tourist market, which last year generated revenues of almost 2.5 billion euros in Portugal.
With these new seasonal routes in 2025, operated by the North American company United Airlines, the Algarve will have four weekly flights, between May 16th and September 22nd, connecting Faro to New York (Newark airport) – from where three flights will also depart weekly trips to Funchal, from June 7th to September 24th.
