After the misunderstanding with the possible unfreezing of rents, the Government said it wanted to compensate landlords and create “fairness” in the market. What is at stake is the operationalization of the compensation mechanism already in force and its continuation at least until 2025.

Diana Ralha, director of the Lisbon Owners Association, was unhappy with the solution created by the Executive, remembering that in previous conversations the unfreezing of rents was “promised”.
