Taxpayers save €32 million with the end of credit subsidies, but they don’t know how much they will spend on guarantees for young people
Taxpayers will save 32 million euros next year with the end of the interest subsidy measure, through which the State paid part of the increase in this burden for customers with greater difficulties. This is the estimate contained in the State Budget report for 2025 and which has since been transmitted to the European Commission in the Medium-Term Structural Plan for the next three years. However, the document does not indicate the cost that the country may incur with the public guarantee given to young people to buy a house.
