Summit: Zelensky goes to Switzerland to ask for possible peace
AExpectations are low, but that may not necessarily be a bad thing. The so-called “High-Level Summit on Peace in Ukraine†, requested by Kiev, will take place this weekend in Switzerland, at the Bürgenstock hotel, in the village of Obbürgen, and the focus has already been announced is not to discuss an agreement to end the war – this is not possible without the presence of a Russian delegation, which was not invited – but rather some of the points of Zelensky’s peace plan, presented in 2022. This plan includes some lines, such as the total withdrawal of Russian troops and the trial of Russia for the crime of aggression, which would mean a capitulation by Moscow, a a scenario that some of the leaders who confirmed their presence would not be ready to accept.
