Siresp, the firefighter companion of Carcavelos and S. Domingos de Rana, will once again see why the community joined the cause
His name is Siresp and he is the faithful “dog companion” of the Firefighters of Carcavelos and São Domingos de Rana. He lost his vision due to a health problem, diabetes, but thanks to the help of donations he will be able to undergo surgery and “see the world again”.
The information was announced on the corporation’s Facebook page, which explains that in just 24 hours they managed to raise the amount necessary for the surgical operation.
“We reached the amount necessary for the surgery of our Cãopanheiro, SIRESP, for which we are very grateful to everyone who, from the north to the south of Portugal, contributed and, in just 24 hours, we raised more than 2,200 euros. ANDThis amount will be fully used towards the cost of the surgery and post-operative expenses”can be read in the publication.
On Thursday, the corporation had made a publication on this social network explaining the animal’s health problem and appealing for help to pay for the operation.
