Public Enemy: Public Ministry accuses Benfica and demands that Luís Filipe Vieira replace his mustache
The Public Prosecutor’s Office brought charges, in the famous case of Benfica’s emails, against Luís Filipe Vieira, Paulo Gonçalves, some former directors of Vitória de Setúbal and SAD of the two clubs. They are accused of crimes such as corruption, economic participation in business, tax fraud and mustache cutting. The latter refers specifically to Luís Filipe Vieira, who prosecutors accuse of dilapidation of national heritage, as Vieira was one of the last sports directors with a supralabial mop. “Since William Carvalho, there has not been a player with a mustache in the national team, which also violates the country’s laws and is regretted”, says the order from the Public Ministry.
