Pope Francis publishes new Encyclical Letter
It is the fourth Encyclical published by Francis, which surpasses his predecessor Benedict XVI (three encyclicals), but is still far from the numbers of Saint John Paul II (14).
After Lumen fidei (2013), Laudato si (2015) and Fratelli tutti (2020), in the 12th year of his pontificate, Dilexit Nos appears, which in Portuguese can be translated as “You loved us”. The chosen expression is taken from the writings of Saint Paul (Rm 8). It is a letter addressed to the entire Church about the need for love based on the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The text is written in 220 points divided into five chapters.
