Parliament approves classification of firefighter as a fast-wearing profession and reduces retirement age

A week after the tense demonstration by firefighters in front of the Assembly of the Republic, the topic returned to Parliament at the request of the PCP. Two communist proposals were voted on that included some of the demands of this professional group, including the classification of firefighter as a fast-wearing profession. Both proposals ended up being approved with the votes in favor of PCP, BE, Livre, Chega and PAN and with the abstention of PSD, CDS, PS and IL. Now, the measures go to the specialty where they will be discussed and voted on again and, if they regain a majority, they can be put on paper.
