Orbán’s plan to rule the EU in the next six months
Viktor Orbán will have listened to the advice and given up on a few blockages before the start of the Hungarian EU presidency. In a demonstration of a constructive attitude, he allowed, for example, Ukraine’s accession negotiations to begin at the end of June. From July 1st, the Government of Budapest will be in charge of the Council of the European Union, that is, it will organize meetings of ministers – from Finance to Agriculture – and prepare consensus on regulations and directives and gets the legislative machine moving.
