“Netflix says people have an attention span of, at most, 15 minutes. Why do one-hour shows if people don’t watch it?”

After winning over the Brazilian public, on stage, on television and on social media, comedian Rafinha Bastos wanted to challenge himself and looked for a career as a stand-up comedian in English. Six years ago he left Brazil for Los Angeles, a year later he moved to New York. Among viral videos with excerpts from his performances, there is already a photo on the mythical wall of the Comedy Cellar, one of the most important comedy clubs in the world, where he is a resident comedian. In Portugal, he has performed several times, but his debut with a show in English took place at the beginning of the year, in Lisbon. Now he goes up to Porto, on October 7th, with “Unfamiliar Territory”.
