Montenegro challenges the opposition to accept the Government’s “main planks” or tear it down
He says he is not available for “political games†and guarantees that he is open to negotiating proposals with the opposition, but not “misrepresent†yours “give up main beams†of the Government program. And even more: Luís Montenegro states that he will only leave the position of prime minister if he is pushed by the opposition and overthrown by a motion of censure. Which means that a possible lead from the State Budget (OE) is not enough for him to resign.
The prime minister’s words were spoken this Monday night before the PSD’s national advisors, and for the opposition to listen to, especially the PS. Not that they are exactly new, but Montenegro made a point of remembering them, “because a lot has been said about these words†in recent months.
