Marco Paulo (1945-2024): funeral ceremonies at the Estrela Basilica have already begun

Marco Paulo’s funeral ceremonies began this Friday. His body is already in the Basilica da Estrela, in Lisbon. The wake takes place from 4pm and continues until 10pm.

An emotional moment for fans and friends to pay a final tribute to the singer who died this Thursday, aged 79.

There are already many wreaths and roses on site. To SIC, fans remember the moments lived with the singer who has been part of the history of Portuguese music since the release of his first album in 1967.

On Saturday, the funeral services are scheduled to take place from 2:30 pm, with a funeral mass present. The funeral procession will then leave for the Prazeres cemetery, in Lisbon.
