Lucília Gago accepts to be heard in Parliament, but asks that the hearing take place after the Public Ministry’s 2023 report is completed

The Attorney General of the Republic made herself available to be heard in parliament, as requested by PAN and BE, but asked that the hearing take place only after the Public Ministry’s 2023 report is completed, “within limited weeks.”

“The Attorney General of the Republic has already conveyed to the Committee on Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Freedoms and Guarantees her availability to accept the invitation to the hearing that she addressed to her”, the Attorney General’s Office said today of the Republic (PGR) in response to Lusa.

However, remembering that the hearing will cover, “among other topics, the annual activity report of the Public Ministry, the Attorney General of the Republic informed that the report reported to 2023 is in the final stage of preparation and should be completed within a few weeks.”

“Thus, the Attorney General of the Republic suggested that the hearing could take place after such a conclusion”, says the PGR.
