Lisbon Airport: left wants to stop increase in flights at Portela; right-wing subscribes to ANA’s arguments and asks for financial compensation

Three weeks after the extraordinary public meeting organized at Lisbon City Hall to hear from experts, environmentalists and citizens about the increase in capacity at Humberto Delgado Airport (AHD) and the negative impacts experienced by those who live or work under the landing and take-off cone of planes, the time has come for decisions to be made. President Carlos Moedas then announced that the Municipality would take them at a meeting after September 3, and that day appears to have arrived this Wednesday.
