José Luís Carneiro on disturbances: the top of Internal Security “is not at its fullest”

José Luís Carneiro does not want to criticize his replacement in the Internal Administration, but he takes responsibility for the Prime Minister to appoint those most responsible for Internal Security and coordination between police forces. In a week marked by riots in the neighborhoods on the outskirts of Lisbon, the former Minister of Internal Administration says that there must be more communication to guarantee the “tranquility” of the populations and insinuates that this is an area in which the PS has to point out “ incompetence” of the Government.
