“Jorge! Come see my country of sailors! That was how Fausto greeted me”, writes Jorge Palma on the day he said goodbye to Fausto

Jorge Palma wrote an emotional message, on the day he said goodbye to his friend Fausto Bordalo Dias, who died this Monday, aged 75.
“Jorge! Come see my country of sailors – it was like this, quoting António Nobre, that Fausto greeted me whenever I called him, often out of hours. And I already knew that the conversation would go on for an indefinite period of time, because there was always one more story, one more subject or event that gave us something to cover, without rushing, savoring every moment of this convivial space that cell phones provide us with. â€
“And when we did meet, whether near or far from the stage, it was a strong hug, a good glass of wine and conversation, always conversation, about everything and nothing. Today I’m sad and there’s nothing I can do about it. Just move on, with one less friend to call.â€
