The war between Israel and Palestine has not been a border war for decades. AND a colonial war. Because the relationship is colonial. Just look at what is happening in the West Bank. As is usual in colonial relations, the insurgency is terrorist, the State’s violence against it is a legitimate defense in the name of population security. Palestinian attacks are terror, which no civilized person can fail to condemn. Pagers exploding in supermarkets and killing civilians and children who are close to the operator, is an operation that, regardless of some ethical criticisms, one cannot help but admire for its ingenuity. The colonist is rational in his war at a distance, the colonized is savage in his bloody barbarism.
