The chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Herzi Halevi, informed the army to “prepare the ground” for a possible entry into Lebanon, reads one series of publications posted on the social network X (formerly Twitter). He told troops that the air strikes in recent days have been carried out to prepare for a “possible” ground invasion.
