Israel continues to bombard Lebanon “with dozens of new attacks”

The Israeli armed forces announced this Sunday that they were carrying out “dozens of new attacks” against Hezbollah in Lebanon. In the last few hours, the Air Force “attacked dozens of terrorist targets in Lebanese territory”, targeting rocket launch sites against Israel, military buildings and weapons depots, an army spokesman declared on the Telegram messaging platform. Since Saturday, “hundreds of Hezbollah terrorist targets” have been attacked.

In a video released alongside the statement, they showed that the attacks were carried out in several areas of South Lebanon, including Marjayoun, Deir Aames and Jouaiyya. “And we will continue, to weaken and dismantle Hezbollah”, said the Israeli armed forces.

Israel and Hezbollah have been involved in an intense daily crossfire since October 7, 2023, following the Hamas attack on Israeli soil that triggered the current war in the Gaza Strip, causing tens of thousands of people to abandon their homes in both sides of the Israeli-Lebanese border.
