Iran. Elections decide the future of the revolution
O Iran elects this Friday the 14th President since the Islamic Revolution of 1979. These elections were precipitated by the death of the President in office, the conservative Ebrahim Raisi, in a plane crash £o, on May 19th. The electoral campaign started with six candidates – five conservatives and one reformist – but, in the 48 hours before the election, and until the closing time of this edition, two of them withdrew and there were appeals for two others to join.
