Ua “huge disappointment”, a Budget “more of the same” in the words of Rui Rocha, which “barely” departs from the previous Government’s OE, and thus leads the party to lean towards voting against the document in general. Neither the drop in IRPJ to 16% for small and medium-sized companies (SMEs), nor the general reduction in the tax burden are enough to please IL, which points to a lack of ambition in the document, delivered this Thursday to Parliament. The eight liberal deputies are not enough to guarantee a majority, but the Government has treated IL as “relevant party”, with a view to possible future alliances.
