Anitta recalled the rape she suffered as a teenager, in a new documentary by Colombian J Balvin.
The Brazilian artist stated that “being abused by someone I knew was a mixture of feelings”. “I didn’t know how to react, I didn’t tell my family, I didn’t tell anyone. I just lived with that for many years.”
“I felt dirty, miserable and guilty”, she continued, criticizing the education given to women: “we are educated to feel that it is our fault, because we dress in one way, because we behave in another”.
Anitta revealed that she was raped in 2020, in the documentary “Anitta Made in Honório”. The artist was 14 years old at the time. He never revealed the identity of the attacker.
