The construction of a residence for students in the former Ministry of Education building, in Lisbon, will not move forward, and PRR funds have already been reallocated to other projects, the Minister of Education revealed on Friday, during a debate in Parliament.
“I have already challenged the Lisbon City Council and the University of Lisbon and they all tell me the same thing: It is not a suitable space for residence”, explained Fernando Alexandre, referring to the project that planned to transform the old Ministry building on Avenida 5 de October, in a residence for half a thousand students.
