“Death is certain, it’s not worth talking about”: Ruy de Carvalho takes to the stage for the hundredth time with a play about his life

At 97 years and four months, as he likes to say, Ruy de Carvalho is, at the moment, the oldest actor on stage in the world. This weekend, he took the stage for the hundredth time with the play in which he currently participates. The session was celebrated with the public, before paying tribute to the artist.

For the hundredth time, Ruy de Carvalho once again shared remarkable and amazing stories from his long life and unique career. After visiting 40 cities, the actor once again enchanted and moved, bringing laughter to everyone who, at each session, was always surprised by the play that relies heavily on the protagonist’s improvisations.

At the end, there is still time to unveil a tribute plaque, with the mayor of Odivelas.

“The Life Story of Ruy de Carvalho”told by himself and Luís Pacheco, is on stage until the 21st of this month, at the Malaposta Cultural Center.
