Cause of death of Shifty Shellshock, lead singer of Crazy Town revealed

The cause of death of Seth Binzer, known as Shifty Shellshock, lead singer of the North American band Crazy Town, who was found dead this week in his home in Los Angeles, has been revealed.

In a press release, Howie Hubberman, the musician’s representative, announced that the voice of ‘Butterfly’ passed away due to an accidental drug overdose.

“He had been struggling with his addiction problem for some time,†he said, quoted by “Consequence of Sound†. “I wasn’t happy with the daily struggle we call life. Some people deal with this in different ways. It is unfortunate that so many people are lost to addiction and easy access to harmful drugs. It’s a tragedy. He died too quickly, too soon.

Shifty, and Crazy Town, became popular in 1999, the year in which they released the hit ‘Butterfly’, composed from a sample guitar by John Frusciante, from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The band ended its activity in 2002, returning in 2007, and putting a new end to its career in 2023. The musician had three children.
