Bárbara Guimarães: “No one in the family had breast cancer. I thought: ‘With cancer you die, this is too serious’”
I found out about the diagnosis over the phone, when I was on vacation with my children, in the Algarve. She underwent surgery, underwent chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormonal treatments. The television presenter confesses that she was not prepared for the harsh effects of the treatments and the permanent injuries that the cancer left behind.
