Álvaro Covões: “The indication I have is that the Pearl Jam concert at NOS Alive is confirmed”
Ten days before the Pearl Jam concert at NOS Alive, Ãlvaro Covões, director of the Algés festival, told BLITZ that he has indications that the show by Eddie Vedder and company in Portugal is â “very confirmed†.
During the European tour of the album “Dark Matter†, Pearl Jam canceled three concerts: one in London last weekende two in Berlin this week. All were private concerts, the first at Tottenham Stadium and the second at the Walbühne, an open-air venue. Indeed, as Ãlvaro Covões highlighted on the podcast Posto Emissoron this tour Pearl Jam only have two festival concerts: at Mad Cool, in Madrid, on the 11th, and at NOS Alive, on the 13th. Before that, they have two dates in Barcelona, at the Palau Sant Jordi, on the 6th. and July 8th.
“I have an indication that everything is going to happen, in Spain and Portugal,†says the strong man from the promoter Everything Is New, who does not know which of the Pearl Jam musicians is sick and the nature of the health problem.
As for a plan B in the event of a possible cancellation of the Seattle band’s concert, Ãlvaro Covões comments: “There is no plan B to replace Cristiano Ronaldo! But until you see it, everything is calm.”
