Santo António. Alcântara won this year’s edition of the Lisbon Popular Marches Competition. In second place was the Marcha de Marvila and third was the Marcha de Alfama. According to information from EGEAC, Alcântara and Marvila won in the Best Choreography and Best Scenography categories. The Best Costume Design was also awarded to the Alcântara and Marvila Marches and also Alfama. The Popular Marches of Lisbon are this year candidates to join the national list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
