Voice choked, noisy, quite shaky, looking so often distant, even lost, reasoning disjointed or left only half done: it was a weak performance to say the least, in the first presidential debate – still than Joe Biden, at times, especially when exalted in the face of statements by candidate Trump (accused him of having “the morals of a stray catâ€) has revived.
Revived — louder, faster — it would appear hours later, at a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina. Even though he was not, he assumed, “a young man†, even though I am not walking, talking or debating “as beforeâ€the Americans – know that I tell the truth”, he said, provoking a warm applause from the audience. At this rally in which he reappeared after the debate, trying to clear away the dark clouds over him, the President of the USA and re-candidate promised: “I wouldn’t run if I didn’t believe, with all my heart, that I was capable of doing this job.†.
