“Things are definitely changing”: could BRICS expansion potential lead to the isolation of the West?

The BRICS cooperation organization is no longer inconsequential: in addition to representing almost half (45%) of the population and worth more than the seven most developed economies in the worldThis week, at the annual summit in Russia, the group was able to show that it will be building a promising future. It became clearer during this week’s summit that the ultimate goal is to create a true alternative to Western-led global governance models. According to Irish journalist Chay Bowes, accused by the West of spreading pro-Kremlin propaganda, it is “a negotiation based on the idea that internally, in each country, one does not want to change who one is, what one believes in, what system of Government” (which ignores the fact that most of these countries are considered autocratic).
