EOn the eve of privatization, TAP is preparing to return to the market and raise another €400 million. It must be done, Expresso knows, before the elections in the United States of America, scheduled for November 5th, to prevent the operation from being affected by any turbulence that the electoral results may cause. This year, TAP will also receive the last installment of public aid given following the pandemic, worth €343 million. All together, the company will receive more than €700 million this year. However, everything will not remain in cash: the new issue will replace the bond issue of €375 million, made in 2019 and which will expire this year.
