BE takes Pedro Pinto’s statements to the leaders’ conference: “Code of conduct and statute of deputies were not complied with”
Pedro Pinto’s statements this Wednesday generated widespread criticism from all parties. The Left Bloc, which was present in the debate with the parliamentary leader of Chega on RTP, went further and presented a request to the President of the Assembly of the Republic for the statements to be analyzed at a Leaders Conference. At issue is the phrase “if [os polícias] they shot more to kill, the country was more in order”, given by the parliamentary leader of Chega during the debate on the public station about the death of a citizen by the police, in Cova da Moura, which triggered riots in several neighborhoods of Lisbon. André Ventura, however, has already defended the statements made by the leader of his bench.
