Navigator profit rises 20% to €241 million in the first nine months

Paper producer Navigator closed the first nine months of the year with a profit of 241.1 million euros, an increase of 20.3% compared to the same period last year, according to the statement sent to the CMVM (Securities Market Commission) this Thursday, after the close of the stock exchange session.

Until setembroo EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) reached the 431,3 million euros, one increase of 14,5% compared to the same period and the margin EBITDA stood at 27,5%more 1.7 percentage points.

International sales in business tissue represented a weight of 78% of sales volume of this segmentwith the most representative markets being Spanish, with 32% of total sales, English, with 28% of sales, and French, with 16% of sales.

Global demand for printing and writing paper has seen growth across all segments, with demand for UWF paper (uncoated printing and writing) with an evolution of 2,4%. To Europe, registered one forte growth of 11%, but we United States there was a slight decrease in demand for nearly 1%.

Since January, the company’s shares have fallen 1.5%, to R$3.59.
