Augsburger and Libaak respond harshly to NOX: “We have been subject to pressure and threats”

The controversy continues with Leo Augsburger, Tino Libaak and NOX. A mess that started with the players going out to their match at P2 in Newgiza with clothes from another brand and black shovelswhich followed with a harsh statement from NOX and that continues now with another even harsher statement from both players.

It was sudden, unexpected and quite strange, even though changes between sponsors are usually common. Everything was confirmed with the words from NOX, which accused the young promises of breaching their contractvalid until 2027. They also pointed out certain external influences as the main culprits of said decision: “We consider that The cause of this situation is the bad advice that the players have received of their close environment. “They don’t have your best interests or professional development in mind.”

Hours later, Leo Augsburger spoke out through social networks with a very harsh statement against the brand. “I decided to distance myself from the brand after a year of non-compliance, intimidation, abuse and intolerable pressure. Both I and my surroundings and my loved ones have been subject to constant pressures and threats that, in some cases, limited my right to participate in a tournaments”. Some very forceful words, with serious accusations against the Spanish brand.

NOX uses fear as a control

Leo Augsburger

He did not stop there and Leo continued closing the doors to settle the differences after the incidents in Egypt: “These practices broke the trust between the brand and me; I cannot maintain a professional relationship with a company that use fear as control“. The player also claims to have evidence that corroborates these acts and ends the statement saying that he will now focus on his career. He also asks for respect for him and his family, requesting that “Do not judge without knowing the reality of the facts”.

Same line that has followed Really Libaakwhich had not yet commented on this matter and has now released another statement. Your message is practically the same as Leo’sbut more summarized and not so hard. “I have decided to disassociate myself from the NOX brand due to non-compliance, intimidation and pressure that have broken the trust I placed in them“, commented the Argentine player.

We will see if there is another response from NOX, but for now the players have made very harsh accusationspushing away reconciliation. It looks like they will announce their next sponsors in the next few days and it will surely start a legal battle which we hope does not distract the promises from their great objective: to continue growing on the track.

Chozas also has trouble with Volt

Álex Chozas was also in a very similar situationbut he did not play with a black-painted shovel, but rather hours before the game in Egypt announced its new sponsor: Siux. However, its previous brand, Voltreleased a message in which They acknowledged not being aware of the situationensuring that, like Tino and Leo, I still had a contract in force.

Huts, for their part, too has responded on his social networks writing that he was legally disassociated and giving prior notice: “As agreed in said contract, I have exercised my right to resolve our relationship unilaterally, paying the previously agreed compensation. Last week, I sent an official notification to VOLT and I proceeded to pay the corresponding amountcomplying with what was agreed in the contract”.

Like his partner and Belasteguín, he has also seriously accused his previous sponsor: “The decision is also motivated by a series of economic and sporting breaches by the brand. that have significantly affected my professional development and my performance as an athlete.

An unprecedented mess of brands and players completely unrelated to what happens on the court and that can be very significant for performance of three of the greatest promises in this sport. Furthermore, this comes at a bad time, since All three will be in Doha in a few days competing in the 2024 World Cup.
