The FIA ​​Motorsport Games 2024 start: let the Motor Games begin!

A competition that will measure the forces of 85 countries -representing the five continents- and almost 800 athletes fighting for automotive glory in a different format, where pilots compete for their countries.

He winner will be known on Sunday, when the medal table crowns the nation with the most victories. Russia e Italia were imposed in the first two editions (Roma 2019 y Marseille 2022) but in this third one, which is disputed in the capital of Turia, Spain will be one of the big favorites to succeed the transalpines in the competition’s record.

Spain, protagonist

Spain already warned of its potential in the last edition, where it achieved eight medals -more than any other country-, although that did not help it to lead the medal table which, as in the Olympic Games, is established based on the triumphs. He Team Spain will seek, as an initial objective in these FIA ​​Motorsport Games, achieve that first gold medal that has eluded him in the two previous editions.

It will have, yes, more possibilities than ever to achieve it. First because there will be more categories in dispute than in previous years (therefore, more medal options) and later, because it has the largest delegationwith presence in the 26 automotive disciplines that make up the program.

Names like those of Daniel Juncadella (GT Sprint), Juan Cota (F4), Bosco Arias (Karting), Alejandro Cachón/Borja Rozada (Rally), Rocket Suarez/Alberto Iglesias (Rally), Belén García/Pérez Aicart/Germán Sánchez (Karting), Ivan Piña (Cross Car), Ruben Moya (karting) y Toño Sainz/Carlos Cancela (Rally) will be, without a doubt, the greats candidates to get that precious gold… or, at least, a medal.

And speaking of participation, and as a curiosity, there will be illustrious surnames of world motorsports… although represented by their new generations. This is the case of Spanish Eric Gene (Cars), son of Jordi and nephew of Marc, the Belgian Oscar Wurz -son of Álex, winner of Le Mans-, Luca Magnussen -little brother of the Haas driver in Formula 1- or Rocco Coronelscion of Dakarian – and touring car driver – Tom Coronel.

Action since Thursday

All the action of the III FIA Motorsport Games will be displayed in four locations: he Ricardo Tormo circuit Cheste will host the GT, single-seater, touring car and slalom events, while the Aspar Circuit will be the scene of karting and Cross Car.
