Maria Luís Albuquerque admits new major European supervisor and is available for a new look at the deposit fund

The candidate for European Commissioner for Capital Markets, Maria Luís Albuquerque, believes that it is necessary to improve the supervisory system at European level. It is he who will be able to “reduce inefficiencies, obtain economies of scale, create confidence in the functioning of markets”. And one of the ways to achieve this is to create a large supervisor on a European scale, as the former Portuguese Minister of Finance admits in the written responses she sent to the Members of the European Parliament – ​​to whom she will respond in person on November 6th.
