“That’s really funny, we’ve known each other for… 45 seconds?”: a journalist met Coldplay’s Chris Martin on the street and tried her luck
A Dutch journalist crossed paths with Chris Martin in New York and got an unexpected interview with the Coldplay leader. The video of this interview has already gone viral on social media.
Saqid Carter, who now has his own YouTube channel after starting his career on radio, saw the Coldplay singer walking through a park in New York in the company of his agent, Phil Harvey. “I wanted to try my luck”, he would say later.
Chris Martin complied with the request, sitting down and chatting with Saqid in the middle of the street. “That’s cool, we met 45 seconds ago,” he joked. During the conversation, Saqid asked Martin where he was going – he was going to film a rehearsal for the QVC channel – and heard the English musician give advice to artists who are starting their careers: “Inside all of us there is a voice, a creative voice, or that guides us, an intuition. Listen to it sometime.”
