“The police invaded the dead man’s house. I was at the door. They pushed the door open and then I ran into the living room and then the lady (widow) lifted the photograph (of Odair Moniz)”, declared Delfina, a resident of the Zambujal neighborhood, to Lusa agency.

This witness showed Lusa a wound on his left arm, allegedly after trying to close the door on “police agents”. Odair Moniz’s neighbor also said that she went to the apartment to express her condolences to the family. “I don’t know what time it was,” he said, referring to Tuesday night.

“In relation to the news published about the entry of police into residences in Bairro do Zambujal, the police inform that only one house was entered, other than the one mentioned in the news published [casa da vítima mortal]in support of the Amadora Volunteer Firefighters, who went to the location for medical support for a child and at the family’s request.”

The Bloco de Esquerda (BE) also questioned the Ministry of Internal Administration today about an alleged invasion by the PSP of the home of Odair Moniz, fatally shot in the early hours of Monday in Amadora, asking for clarification on the episode reported by the family and lawyer.

It was Odair’s partner who got the agents to leave the apartment, and the PSP returned about an hour later.
