“I haven’t educated myself on the subject and I don’t want to know”: daughter of Blink-182’s Travis Barker refuses to vote in US elections
Alabama Barker, daughter of Travis Barker (Blink-182), announced on social media that she will not vote in the US presidential election, despite having recently turned 18 years old and being able to do so for the first time.
“For me, not voting is not a crazy option”, he stated, quoted by “Billboard”. “If I feel like I don’t have enough knowledge about what I’m going to vote for, why should I do it? I haven’t educated myself on the subject and I don’t want to know.”
Noting that she was just “being honest,” Alabama added, “I’m not going to vote if I don’t know what to vote for. I don’t feel this is wrong. If I don’t want to get involved in politics, I won’t.” The young woman admitted, however, that one of the main presidential candidates “is a disaster” – without, however, explaining whether she was referring to Kamala Harris or Donald Trump.
